WORLD PREMIERE BY SERGE ARCURI - LOUISE BESSETTE AND I MUSICI DE MONTRÉAL
On Wednesday, October 25th, 2006, at 8pm, at Théâtre Maisonneuve, pianist Louise Bessette and the chamber orchestra I Musici de Montréal wil premiere La forêt des clameurs, concerto for piano and strings, by Montreal composer Serge Arcuri. The four movement work (I- La forêt des clameurs, II- ...des souve sortilèges, IV- ..des songes) was commissioned by Louise Bessette and I Musici, and was made possible thanks to a grant from the Canada Council for the Arts. The piece is dedicated to Louise Bessette.
Louise Bessette will join I Musici again for Béla Bartok's Music for strings, percussion and celesta. Also on the program, Beethoven's Concerto for violin with Valeriy Sokolov.
