Louise Bessette in concert: December 2002
On
December 2nd, 2002, 8:15 pm, at the Conservatoire de
Lausanne, Louise Bessette will be the guest of the Société
de musique contemporaine de Lausanne (Switzerland). She will
perform two major works of the 20th century: La
fauvette des jardins by Olivier Messiaen and the Second Piano
Sonata, “Concord, Mass., 1840-1860” by the American
composer Charles Ives.

She
will be giving in concert this program also in March 2003 at the
Chapelle Historique du Bon-Pasteur, Montreal (March 27th,
2003, 8 pm) and in April at the St. Lawrence Centre for the
Arts, Toronto (April 1st, 2003, 8 pm).
With the Molinari Quartet
On
Friday December 13th, 2002 at 8 pm at Redpath Hall (McGill
University, Montreal), the pianist Louise Bessette will be
joining the Molinari Quartet to interpret SHOSTAKOVICH’s
Quintet for piano and strings in G minor, opus 57 (1940). In the
first part of the concert, the Molinari will perform LUTOSLAWSKI’s
Quartet (1964) as well as the Quartet no 6 (1993)
by R. Murray SCHAFER.
